Document the finished project

Photograph the empty structure from each side and record the materials, date and installation location. Observe from a distance once birds use it; avoid disturbing occupied nests.

Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
